(www.autotronics.com.au) and the services we provide. By accessing our website or engaging our
services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you
do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
1. Services
Autotronics specialises in automotive electronics repair and diagnostics, including:
ECU (Engine Control Unit) repairs, reprogramming and cloning
TCM (Transmission Control Module) repairs and reprogramming
Immobiliser systems and key programming
Dashboard and instrument cluster repairs
ABS and airbag module repairs
Body Control Module (BCM) repairs and cloning
Car multimedia system repairs (radio, amplifiers, touchscreens)
Diagnostic services for all vehicle electronic systems
Our services are subject to availability and may change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse
service at our discretion.
2. Service Booking and Turnaround
2.1 All services require advance booking through our website, by phone, or email.
2.2 Turnaround times are estimates only and may vary depending on:
Complexity of the repair
Parts availability
Current workload
Unforeseen technical complications
2.3 While we strive to meet estimated timeframes, we cannot guarantee completion dates unless
specifically confirmed in writing.
3. Warranty
3.1 Repaired and reprogrammed units come with a 12-month limited warranty covering defects in
workmanship and materials related specifically to our repair.
3.2 Warranty is void if:
Our warranty seal/label is damaged, removed or tampered with
The unit shows evidence of being opened after our repair
The unit has suffered water/liquid damage
The unit has been subject to improper installation
The unit shows signs of physical damage, misuse, or abuse
The unit has been repaired or modified by another party
3.3 To claim warranty service:
Provide original invoice and evidence of failure
Allow inspection of the item by our technicians
Return the item to our workshop at your expense (return shipping, if applicable, will be covered for
valid warranty claims)
3.4 This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the original unit and does not extend to any
consequential damages.
4. Repair Process and Risks
4.1 All repairs are undertaken with professional care, but inherent risks exist when working with
electronics, especially aged or previously damaged components.
4.2 We reserve the right to decline repair if we determine a unit is beyond economical repair or poses
safety risks.
4.3 Diagnostic fees may apply even if you choose not to proceed with repairs after assessment.
4.4 Data loss may occur during the repair process. We are not responsible for backing up or recovering
data from electronic units.
5. Customer Responsibilities
5.1 Customers must:
Provide accurate and complete information about the vehicle and fault symptoms
Ensure items are securely packaged for transport
Collect repaired items within 30 days of notification
Pay all agreed charges in full before collection
5.2 Items left uncollected for more than 90 days without communication may be considered abandoned
and disposed of or sold to recover costs.
6. Fees and Payment
6.1 Pricing:
Diagnostic fees apply to all assessments ($140 per unit minimum)
Repair quotes are valid for 14 days
Additional costs may be identified during repair and will be communicated before proceeding
6.2 Payment:
Payment is required in full prior to release of repaired items
We accept direct bank transfer, credit/debit cards, and cash
For certain complex repairs, a non-refundable deposit may be required
6.3 No refunds will be issued for successfully completed services.
7. Liability Limitations
7.1 Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific repair service in
question.
7.2 We expressly disclaim liability for:
Indirect, special, or consequential damages
Loss of vehicle use, business, or profits
Damage resulting from improper installation after repair
Compatibility issues with other vehicle systems not identified during initial assessment
Pre-existing conditions not related to the specific repair
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our website including logos, text, graphics, and service descriptions is our intellectual
property and may not be reproduced without permission.
9. Privacy
We collect and use personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved
exclusively in the courts of New South Wales.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes
acceptance of the revised terms.
